IF multiple apps with same purpose are having issues after the update, it’s most likely Apple’s fault. It’s a no-brainer.

Don’t get me started about how many times people blamed Microsoft because others like Google, Nvidia, Adobe and so on didn’t test their software.
If Apple really had this “masterplan” to not allow other music apps “by accident”, then Spotify would not be the only broken WatchOS app, and all the apps including Spotify would stop working on iOS.
You look for a reason to blame Apple, but that is unfair just like blaming Microsoft would be for mistakes OTHERS make.
Also it would be plain stupid if Apple did what you claim, because here is a newsflash of the day, they earn money from those other services being available on their devices too.

Amazon Music, Spotify, and some smaller music apps not streaming correctly.
Apple Music is the big competitor, and Apple owns their own ecosystem, so yes I’m sure this was “accidental”.
Apple will not fix the bug until they know how many customers they can force to try Apple Music and stay there.

I had zero issues on WatchOS9 with Spotify but I now know why.
Because I play the music om my phone and my Watch shows the controls only, just tried the app and yup it has issues.
They had so many months to fix this because all the beta’s but it seems they did not, but I shouldn’t expect much from a company that still didn’t fix their broken WearOS 3 app (my partner stopped using Spotify on GW4 because of that, is using the phone instead for it)

Knowing Apple’s software, despit… moreUnfortunately for haters, it’s not Apple’s fault that third party developers are lazy dudes.
Spotify needs to fix this and adapt to the new OS, which they had notice of since forever

Another case of developer not working.
Hey spotify! You have so much time to test the beta RC out.. now you say cannot when the public release came out.
If you drop this warning before the public release, people can prepare. Instead you blame Apple the moment it launches.

meanwhile on GW4/Wear OS the spotify app is trash, refuses to play songs from the loud speaker, the rotating bezel that’s meant to control volume constantly stops working at random along with half a dozen other bugs.

I want to see how fast it takes for Apple to fix this issue.
Knowing Apple’s software, despite being a “walled garden”, after using an iPhone I can see why people use the “I’d rather pay for the experience over features” argument. I guess it just works.
