TWICE‘S “I Acquired You” has topped this week’s new music ballot.
Music followers voted in a ballot revealed Friday (Feb. 2) on Billboard, selecting the Ok-pop group’s enjoyable new single as their favourite new music launch of the previous week.
“I Acquired You” introduced in 84% of the vote, beating out new music by Keith City (“Straight Line”), Billy Joel (“Flip the Lights Again On”), Usher that includes Pheelz (“Wreck”), Don Toliver (“Bandit”), and others.
“I Acquired You” is the newest monitor from TWICE’S thirteenth mini-album, WITH YOU-th, which is scheduled for launch on Feb. 13. The propulsive, dizzyingly track builds upon the success of the nine-member group’s earlier English-language singles by highlighting the their melodic strengths and doubling down on the snappiest components of the synth-pop manufacturing, making a flash level that would cross over to U.S. platforms in an enormous manner.
The high-energy tribute to friendship is the follow-up to TWICE’s earlier monitor “The Feels,” which landed the collective’s debut entry on the Billboard Sizzling 100 (No. 83) and “Moonlight Dawn” (No. 84).
