It’s a wonderful time of year in Houston. Before the year comes to a close, brand new music is seemingly dropping every day, vying for everyone’s attention. Houston artists always manage to keep us on our toes with exciting new projects and releases. Just ahead of Astroworld, Travis Scott announced the release of his new project, ESCAPE PLAN/MAFIA and Lou Ridley is back with more anti-country.

Below, check out all-new releases from Houston artists.

Lou Ridley, “Hellfire”

Lou Ridley gives us an inside look into her forthcoming project Angel/Outlaw, with her intro track and accompanying music video “Hellfire.” The song, which serves as a dedication to her grandfather’s favorite curse word, tells a story of toxic relationships, and the resilience it takes to overcome them.

Travis Scott, Escape Plan/Mafia

Just ahead of his beloved Houston festival, Travis Scott announced that he would be releasing new music. Titled ESCAPE PLAN/MAFIA, the project is a succinct two tracks, marking his first solo release of the year. “Escape Plan” is an updated version of the song Scott previewed at Rolling Loud New York, and “Mafia” is an all-new song from the Houston emcee, which enlists a feature from J. Cole.

Ejay Mallard, Healium

Ejay Mallard has released his second album, Healium. The album, complete with 15 songs, features a wide range of sounds, from Timbaland-inspired uptempo R&B tracks like “Heartbreak Kid” and “Choices.” The project also enlists a feature from fellow Houston emcee and TikTok superstar, Guapo.

OQ & Ty TITI, Iron Sharpens Iron, Volume 2

Houston native Ty Titi and OQ have released the sequel to their breakout project, Street Dreams Volume 1. The project has obvious New York influences with dark, menacing beats with lyricism to match.

Neeko Crowe featuring Ya Brotha Man & Mali Man, “Paranoid”

This lo-fi track from Houston artist Neeko Crowe feels just like fall. “Paranoid” offers a relaxing melody, where Crowe softly sings about wanting to live his life without boundaries.

DONTASKGEN, “Play”

DONTASKGEN’s latest R&B cut, “Play,” is an infectious uptempo R&B song that perfectly sets the scene inside a nightclub, where a free-spirited woman who loves a good time “lives like no one is watching.”

Dee Ace, “Roll On Em”

Dee Ace’s latest effort is the ideal song to play on your evening drive. Titled “Roll On Em,” Dee Ace creates a feel-good, confident track that feels like you’re cruising through the city.
