The multi-talented Donald Glover has moved on from just acting in TV shows like “Community” and producing rap music under his stage name Childish Gambino, to being an executive producer of his own TV shows. And his newest hire is reportedly Malia Obama, the former first daughter of the U.S. and a graduate of Harvard.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Glover is leaving his current deal with Disney and FX Studios to sign a new deal with Amazon that’s somewhere in the eight figures. It is expected that the new deal will land Glover some sort of content channel on Amazon Prime Video, where his newest project, thought to be called “Hive”, will air.

With Malia Obama in tow as one of the writers for “Hive”, the show is expected to follow the life of a young pop star, with the consensus being that it will be loosely based on Beyoncé in one way or another. There are little details about the show at this time, and Amazon has not released any comments relating to “Hive”.
This isn’t just one of those cases of someone getting hired because of their name, even if her father was the president not too long ago. Malia Obama is a graduate of Harvard University and has been touted by Glover as being amazingly talented. She’s worked on other television series in the past and is believed to have a legitimate writing career in Hollywood ahead of her.
