Chicago noise-rock band Melkbelly are again with their first new music in over three years. The quartet has shared a 7″ single that includes the tracks “KMS Specific” and “Valuable Cargo.” Take heed to the brand new songs under (through Exploding in Sound).
In accordance with Melkbelly drummer James Wetzel, “KMS Specific” and “Valuable Cargo” have been created “immediately in response to the void of stay reveals.”

It’s been nearly 4 years since Melkbelly’s final studio album, Pith. The band’s snarling 2020 rock album featured the notable tracks “Humid Coronary heart” and “LCR.” Since Pith, Melkbelly have been pretty quiet—partly because of the pandemic interrupting their file launch plans—aside from a contribution to Merely Having a Fantastic Compilation, a vacation album organized by Father/Daughter and Wax 9 Information that includes Melkbelly’s cowl Everclear’s of “Hating You for Christmas.”
