Eminem was born as Marshall Bruce Mathers III in the year 1972 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He spent most of the time in Missouri with his single mom after his parents divorced. His parents Marshall Sr. And Deborah “Debbie” Rae Nelson were part of a band called Daddy Warbucks before their separation.

When Eminem was a child, he was very lonely and was bullied frequently at school. During his teenage years, he lived with his Mom in a neighborhood of Detroit that was dominated by Black people.

When Eminem was just 14 years old he adopted the rap persona “M&M” taken from the first letter of his name. He dropped out of school at the age of 17 and started doing odd jobs. He used to write songs and also participate in freestyle rap battles in nearby places.

Eminem later joined a group called Soul Intent after he gained recognition. He recorded music by collaborating with Mashin’ Duck Records and FBT Productions. A few years later in 1996, he released his maiden album “Infinite” through a record company called Web Entertainment. After one year in the spring of 1997, he recorded “the Slim Shady EP”.

A couple of years later The Slim Shady LP was released in 1999 by Aftermath Entertainment that was a runaway commercial success. It broke records in the field of rap music and remained on the Billboard 200 for almost 2 years.

The album sold 5.4 million copies just in the United States alone by 2013. He went on to produce more albums and collaborated with famous rappers like Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Rihanna, The Alchemist, etc in his 20 years career in Rap.

He won 15 Grammy awards and was the top-selling rap artist in the world in the 2000s. He also starred in many movies, owns a record label, and endorse brands like Lipton and Chrysler.

Eminem Net Worth: Investment into Real Estate and Cars

Eminem spent around $1.48 million on an 8,900 square-foot home in Clinton Township, Michigan in the year 2000 that was his primary residence for many years. Three years later he bought a 15,000 square foot house in Oakland County, Michigan for $4.8 million that was later sold at a loss of $1.9 million in 2017.

He bought Porsche Carrera GT for $448,000 and another Porsche for $184,000. He also owns a Ferrari 599 GTO that is worth around $371,000 along with two more collections of Ferrari (250 GTO and 288 GTO).
