Swedish Viking metallic veterans Amon Amarth have launched a brand new music video for “Heidrun” (“goat” in Norse mythology), a music that seems on their newest studio album, The Nice Heathen Military. Moreover, they’ve unveiled the four-song Heidrun EP that includes three variations of the tune, together with a “goat remix” with precise goat vocals.
Frontman Johan Hegg defined the mythological story behind “Heidrun” in a press launch, stating, “Heidrun is an attention-grabbing mythological character, it’s a goat that stands on the roof of Valhalla consuming the leaf of the massive tree Lärad.”
He continued, “The milk that she offers is the honey/mead that the soldiers in Valhalla drink every evening. The lyrics themselves are each about Vikings travelling the world but in addition metaphorically what it’s to be a touring musician.”
Amon Amarth not too long ago kicked off US tour with Ghost. Discover a recap and photograph gallery of the opening evening right here, and decide up tickets right here.
