Music often plays a key role in a film or TV show as the use of songs and original score can help to add just the right feeling to a scene or setting.
For a series set in the 1940s, that is incredibly important for Prime Video’s new A League of Their Own, as it looks to enthral fans in its time period.
As such, the series is packed with music but which songs feature in the soundtrack of A League of Their Own?
A League of Their Own release date and plot preview
Amazon Prime Video’s A League of Their Own swung its way onto the streaming service on Friday, August 12, 2022.

At the heart of the series are Carson (Abbi Jackson) and Max (Chanté Adams) as they and a whole ensemble of colourful characters carve their paths towards taking their first steps onto a professional baseball field, finding teammates and themselves in the process.

Listen to the jazzy score
As well as a host of licensed songs, A League of Their Own also makes use of its own original score.
And, as the series is set in the 1940s, that score features plenty of toe-tapping jazz music, perfect for the time period.
The jazzy score is the work of We Are Dark Angels, Zachary Dawes and Nick Sena.
To coincide with the release of the series, the score has been released as an album which is available to stream via the likes of Spotify, Apple Music and, of course, Amazon Music.
A League of Their Own is available to stream now on Amazon Prime Video after releasing on August 12, 2022.
