quality is one of the best measures when it comes to determining musical talent. Houston artists have consistently raised the bar, placing the city on the map as a music hub; not only for rap, but for indie-pop artists, R&B, and funk. This week in new music, the Bayou City Comeback Chorus has released their first single from their forthcoming eponymous EP, “Stronger Together,” Danielle Bradberry has a new country ballad “Break My Heart Again,” and Houston indie-synth pop band Camera Cult released their eccentric track, “Street Dreamz.”

Below, find all new music from Houston artists.

Bayou City Comeback Chorus featuring Dende, “Stronger Together”

The newly formed Bayou City Comeback Chorus, a collective of Houston musicians with an emphasis on social justice, is gearing up for their debut project by releasing their first single, “Stronger Together,” featuring fellow Houston singer, Dende. The groovy track lends vocal assistance from standout Houston artists such as Kam Franklin, Lilly Aviana, and Sugar Joiko. Listen here.

Lou Ridley, “At Last”

It’s getting a little chilly in Nashville, where Lou Ridley resides. To add some warmth to Music City, U.S.A., Ridley executed a powerful cover to Etta James’ “At Last.” Her cover to the soul icon’s prized song marks Ridley’s first release of the year. Listen here.

Dontaskgen, “Don’t Wanna Die Yet”

For DONTASKGEN’s first release of 2022, the indie artist’s latest effort steps out of his norm of dark R&B into a more lighthearted space. His new song, “Don’t Want To Die Yet” is an upbeat track that encourages you to get on your feet. Listen here.

Danielle Bradberry, “Break My Heart Again”

After Danielle Bradberry’s 2021 release of “Stop Draggin Your Boots,” she has returned to the country scene with an all-new ballad. More heartfelt than her other country tunes, “Break My Heart Again” features Bradberry singing through her broken love story. Listen here.

Monaleo, “We Not Humping”

Houston’s sweetheart Monaleo released the music video for her latest single, “We Not Humping,” ahead of her forthcoming debut album expected this year. The visual features cameos from Houston artist Lebra Jolie, as well as other popular femcees Enchanting and Omeretta. The upbeat track celebrates women’s empowerment, and staying true to yourself. Listen here.

Camera Cult, “Street Dreamz”

Indie-pop trio Camera Cult’s latest, “Street Dreamz,” is a whimsical Spanglish track that holds a high school sweetheart-esque nostalgia. The song is perfect for an evening ride through the city. Listen here.

Killa Kyleon, “You Can’t Stop The Rain”

Former Boss Hogg Outlaws artist Killa Kyleon flexes his lyrical muscles through freestyles on his Instagram. Most recently, the emcee shared “You Can’t Stop The Rain,” utilizing the popular 1985 Loose Ends song. Listen here.
