Following the excitement of the release of his new single “Happy Endings” (feat. iann dior and UPSAHL), Mike Shinoda has started to return to his normal Twitch schedule. He began production on another track titled “Everybody Here” by rapper Paigambar on Friday, February 28. Paigambar sent over vocal tracks and a click track, but no instrumentals or chords, which isn’t typical for these production sessions. However, Paigambar did post a few videos on Instagram featuring his raps over a beat, which helped Shinoda figure out which direction to take “Everybody Here” — specifically in how he felt that the track needed to be a little dark and gritty.
Prior to the stream, Shinoda had pulled a full four pages of samples to use to produce Paigambar’s track, but accidentally deleted them when he copied Paigambar’s vocals into Ableton. Sorting through his collection of samples for a second time, the primary sample Shinoda used was a high pitched beat that gave the track some structure, which he then built the rest of the track around. Shinoda also added a choir sample, “dark” piano, at least two drum beats, drum snare, vinyl loops, and more.
Using the samples he pulled, Shinoda was able to get pretty far on the first section of the track fairly quickly. He then moved onto the hook, editing the breakbeat and adding some saturation to it. Struggling a little to find the exact sound he knew would bring the track to the next level, Shinoda spent some time fine-tuning the timing for the vocals with the instrumentals and going through different effects and samples, along with creating his own, in order to get the song just right.

“Remember we talked about this before … you gotta come in early if you’re gonna have a new pattern or a new tempo, you gotta come in beforehand. Either mute so [listeners are] ready for a big change or come in with a new tempo pattern.”
Paigambar is a musician and rapper from India, who also goes by the name Post Mortem Report. He initially caught Shinoda’s attention via Instagram where he posted three different videos, each featuring a different rap and beat. Paigambar has released his own original music, such as the songs “Deep Inside” and “No Beauty Sleep (Ft. Diane)”, which can be found on Soundcloud under Post Mortem Report. His more recent work, such as the singles “Ghost Pepper”, “Inferno”, and “Avalanche” can be found on Spotify and his Youtube channel, along with their official music videos.
