Lil Wayne seems to have some ideas on Kendrick Lamar‘s new track “wacced out murals.”
On Friday (Nov. 22), Lamar stunned followers with the discharge of his sixth studio album, GNX. The 12-track challenge covers a vary of intense matters, together with Wayne’s frustration over being handed over to headline the 2025 Tremendous Bowl Halftime Present in his hometown of New Orleans.
“Used to bump Tha Carter III, I held my Rollie chain proud/ Irony, I believe my onerous work let Lil Wayne down,” Okay. Dot raps on album opener “wacced out murals,” referring to Weezy posting a video about how damage he was about not being chosen to headline the Tremendous Bowl in his hometown.
Lamar continues on the track, “Received the Tremendous Bowl and Nas the one one congratulate me/ All these n—-s agitated, I’m simply glad they showin’ they faces.”
Wayne, having had a while to digest the lyric, seemingly responded in a publish on X (previously Twitter) early Saturday morning.
“Man wtf I do?!” Weezy started the publish. “I simply be chillin & dey nonetheless kome 4 my head. Let’s not take kindness for weak point. Let this big sleep. I urge u all. Nobody actually needs destruction,not even me however I shall destroy if disturbed. On me. Love.”
Again in September, Wayne brazenly admitted that being snubbed for the Tremendous Bowl halftime gig in his personal metropolis was deeply painful.
“That damage. It damage loads. what I’m speaking about. It damage an entire lot,” he stated on the time. “I blame myself for not being mentally ready for a letdown. And for robotically mentally placing myself in that place like anyone instructed me that was my place. So I blame myself for that. However I believed that was nothing higher than that spot and that stage and that platform in my metropolis, so it damage. It damage an entire lot.”
In early November, throughout his Lil WeezyAna Fest in New Orleans, Wayne reiterated the sentiment, telling the group, “I instructed myself I needed to be on that stage in entrance of my mother, and I labored my ass off for that place. It was ripped away from me, however this second proper right here… they will’t take this away from me.”
